How Astral Gate Works
Astral Gate is designed to make cross-chain transfers simple, transparent, and reliable while maintaining a clear path toward full protocol ownership.
1. User Initiates a Transfer
The user selects the source chain, destination chain, asset, and amount. All fees and execution routes are displayed clearly before confirmation.
2. Execution via Integrated Bridge Infrastructure
In its initial phase, Astral Gate integrates established third-party bridge infrastructure to enable reliable cross-chain execution.
These providers supply liquidity, routing, and settlement mechanisms that Astral Gate orchestrates through its own execution layer. (Certain integrations may rely on well-known market infrastructure providers.)
This approach allows Astral Gate to:
Leverage battle-tested systems
Reduce early-stage security risk
Deliver fast and reliable execution
Astral Gate remains the coordination and user-facing layer, abstracting complexity while maintaining flexibility.
3. Optional P2P Fulfillment
For supported routes, users may choose P2P execution. In this mode, independent handlers fulfill transfers directly, enabling faster settlement and alternative pricing.
P2P execution is optional and clearly labeled.
4. Verification & Settlement
Once execution is completed, the transfer is verified and settled on the destination chain. Users can track the status of their transaction in real time throughout the process.
5. Transition to Native Astral Contracts
As Astral Gate matures, execution will progressively shift from third-party infrastructure to native Astral smart contracts. This transition will increase decentralization, control, and protocol-level optimization while preserving user experience.
The Astral Router Handles All the Logic
Behind the scenes, the Astral Router analyzes available liquidity, bridge paths, on-chain routes, slippage, and execution costs. It automatically constructs the most efficient route, combining:
